Whizzing around

Filed in Elevenses

These are kind of cool. The first Whizzer motorcycle was created in 1939 when an engine was sold to affix to one’s bicycle. The company introduced other engines with varying degrees of success until 1955, when it moved on to making toys(!) and other things.

That is, until 1997, when they were reconceived and reintroduced. You end up with a neat little 138cc motorcycle/bicycle hybrid that gets 120 miles per gallon.
