Thursday Thirteen: #5–13 ways to romance a motorcyclist

Filed in Blog, Thursday Thirteen

I’ve heard that motorcyclists are not known for their romantic tendencies, but I think that’s Dead Wrong. Sure, a bunch of roses wouldn’t survive too well, but here are thirteen other ways to romance a motorcyclist, some of which I’ve experienced myself.

  1. Buy her a motorcycle for an engagement or wedding gift. (That’s how I came by Arnie, btw.)

  2. Ride side-by-side to a nice restaurant or even a biker bar, as you both prefer.

  3. Dinner and a movie, on bikes.

  4. Take him shopping in a motorcycle store.

  5. Cover her motorcycle in little chocolate hearts, or hide Hershey’s kisses all round his garage.

  6. Build her a snowman.

  7. Bungee a hamper on back, and have a loooong “champagne” brunch in a park, with tablecloth, glasses and “proper” plates. (Leave the champers for when you get home. Bring grape juice to the picnic.)

  8. If you’re really sure, go to have matching tattoos done. (If you’re pragmatic, symbols would probably be better than names.)

  9. Ride your bikes to a spa and have a couples massage/mud bath/pampering session together.

  10. Take a day off work and go on a long ride somewhere beautiful.

  11. Buy her a Corbin seat.

  12. Marry at a Las Vegas Drive-In chapel on your bikes.

  13. Ride across the state line to Nevada, walk into a courthouse, find a JP, borrow a secretary, and get married in your leathers.
