RSS Ronk ronk ronk
Filed in BlogDid you know that if it rains heavily while you are trickle charging your sick battery, the hookup breaker trips and no charge is filtered through?
It’s been raining a lot here, recently.
So saying, yesterday after making this discovery I put the trickle on for another hour and got the bike started. I picked up more food for JR and then went to Smart and Final. There, my biker appearance along with all the stuff I was buying got me a conversation with the checker, who said she used to be a biker long before it was common for women to ride. She used to have a big pink jacket that streamed out behind her. ;)
There was some doubt whether it would all fit on the bike, but I told her I had bungees and she grinned.
Outside, as I strapped and stuffed, another woman came up and told me I was brave for bringing all that stuff on the bike. I still ended up with a hundred plastic bowls stuffed down my front, though, making for a very upright riding position on the way home.
I got home mere moments before the rain began again.
