Oops-a-daisy
Filed in Blog, Daily Photo
One day we were on our way somewhere and the bike started to sputter and fail. We were running out of gas, so Don switched to reserve, and we still were sputtering and failing. Oops. Last time we filled up, we’d forgotten to swtich from reserve back to full, which means we were absolutely empty. OOPS!
We were able to coast a long way down the hill, thinking we’d walk the last mile or so, and then to our intense surprise our friend cruised by and rescued us.
I stayed with the bike and read magazines I’d never had a chance to look at before and everything was peaceful and green and lovely. And we’ll be very careful not to repeat that particular error!

Thank goodness your friend came by! A mile isn’t terribly far, but hiking for pleasure is a lot more fun!

I’m looking at what a wonderful road you were stranded on, and how perfect the riding must be around there! I’ll bet the air smells lovely.

FancyHorse — I don’t mind when the weather’s nice! But I was really peaceful there and had magazines, so life was good.

We haven’t explored nearly enough! *grin* Sharing a bike is not my favorite thing, but I did manage to get out last night. The smoke isn’t helping, I’m afraid, and that’s likely to go on for weeks. Most of the places I really want to explore are in the fire zone still. :(
